To foster international collaboration in teaching and learning across the PIONEER Alliance, Iscte has launched a pilot online platform designed to connect faculty members interested in developing Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) activities with partner institutions.

COIL is an educational approach that enables students and faculty from universities across the Alliance to engage in shared online learning experiences. Through collaborative projects, discussions, presentations and coursework, students gain international perspectives, strengthen their intercultural communication skills and work across borders without the need for physical mobility. As such, COIL contributes to preparing students for an increasingly interconnected and globalized world.

Faculty members interested in incorporating COIL into their courses are encouraged to explore the catalogue to identify potential partners and/or publish their own collaboration proposals:
