Within the framework of the PIONEER Alliance, applications are now open for 15 PIONEER PhD Research Scholarships at Iscte – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa. These scholarships are funded by the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT) and European Union funds, under a protocol established between Iscte and the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT).
Applications are currently open, covering different doctoral programmes and scientific areas at Iscte. These scholarships aim to strengthen advanced training and research in strategic fields, while promoting international collaboration within the framework of European University Alliances.
Aligned with the PIONEER Alliance Future Cities strategy, research proposals should address SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities, contributing to the development of innovative solutions to contemporary urban challenges. In this context, each selected fellow will benefit from co-supervision by a researcher from a partner university within the Alliance, reinforcing the international, interdisciplinary and collaborative dimension of the projects.
The calls are published on the websites and social media channels of Iscte, its research units and doctoral programmes, as well as on the EURAXESS platform, ensuring broad visibility within the national and international scientific community.
