Join colleagues from ten leading European universities for a dynamic one-and-a-half-day workshop focused on shaping the future of transformative leadership in higher education. As part of the PIONEER Alliance’s Work Package 3, this event offers a unique opportunity to explore how PIONEER Universities can develop their leadership, and joint collaboration to enhance their role as catalysts for inclusive, sustainable, and resilient urban development.

What to Expect
- Explore and discuss recent leadership mappings (current state analyses) across PIONEER institutions
- Co-design pilot initiatives addressing real institutional challenge
- Leverage the best practices shared by peers from other European higher education institution
- Develop a shared framework for implementing transformative change
- Participate in interactive sessions like gallery walks, creative brainstorming, and idea pitching
- Connect with peers across academic, administrative, and support roles
Who Should Join?
If you’re passionate about developing leadership, collaboration and ways of working within our institutions, within the PIONEER alliance and the surrounding ecosystem, this workshop is for you.
Selected participants (4) representing each PIONEER institution in WP3 direction setting and upcoming pilot selection.
Participation of members representing different staff groups (teaching, research, administration, managerial and leadership, etc.), who are involved in leading projects, teams, or collaborations—whether formally or informally.
Venue
The workshop takes place in the flexible Bildungswerkstatt space, with adaptable rooms, a communal kitchen, and access to outdoor areas by the River Rhein—perfect for walking sessions and informal networking.
